He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Meurs and Lena Meurs (Post); his wife Carol Ann Bielema; his sons, Greg Alan Meurs and Rodger Lee Meurs; his brother Gary Lee Meurs; and his brother-in-law Ron Vogel.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Meurs of Clinton, IA and Matthew Meurs (Carolyn) of Fulton; his grandchildren, Amaya, John Carter, Halle and Andrew Meurs; and his sisters, Nancy Shear (Ron) of Fulton, Lois Vogel of Fulton and Betty Wiebenga (Harlan) of Fulton.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (1208 3rd Ave, Fulton, IL 61252).
A memorial has been established for the Fulton Food Pantry.
