She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob VanVuren and Alena VanVuren (Schaver); her husband Donald E. Houzenga; her daughter Brenda Kay Houzenga; and her siblings, Tina Graham, Jeanette Vogel, Beverly Gehring, Gladys VanVuren, Rulof and Clarence VanVuren.
She is survived by: her children, Sally Houzenga of Savanna, IL, Keith Houzenga (Vicki) of Fulton and Dale Houzenga (Toni) of Fulton; her grandchildren, Brian Houzenga (Dayell), Stacy Knautz (Mike) and Jason Houzenga; and her stepgrandson Jeremy Benoit (Michele). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
