He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Downing and Flora Downing (Krueger); and his siblings, Steven Downing (Sandra) of Freeport and Ruth Ann Auer. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McMurray; his children, Edward Downing (Michele) of Freeport and Susan Picha (Tony) of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren, Craig Downing (Alli Barr) of Hamilton, IL, Alex Picha (JT Materile) of Scottsdale, AZ, Amanda Sharp (Cole) of Nebraska City, NE, Hannah Schlesselman (Micah) of Coralville, IA and Abby Picha (Jay Coats) of Gilbert, AZ.; and his friend Marvin Dominick Jr. (Kathy) of Freeport.
