He is survived by: his wife Vicki Lynn Harvey; his children, Laura Thompson (Michael) of Oak Park and Aaron Mercier (Ginger) of Freeport; his siblings, William of Freeport, Maryanne of Milford, Illinois, Ruth of Mount Morris, Illinois and John of Chandler, Arizona.; and his grandchildren, Samuel Mercier (Hannah) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jackson Mercier of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Isabella Mercier of Freeport, Joseph Mercier, Petty Officer Third Class, Cecilia Thompson of St Petersburg, Florida and Emma Thompson of Chicago, Illinois..
