It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Sue Thiel of Freeport, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 15, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Richard Hessenius (Joyce) and Eileen Curry Hessenius; her sister Tammy Jansen (David); and her stepbrother Timothy Sofran. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Thiel (Becky) and Jennifer Krakliow (Donald); her stepsiblings, Jerry Sofran and Deanna Sofran Penick (Dennis); her nephews, Joshua Garrett and Ryan Garrett (Ingrid); and her grandchildren, Isabella, Madalynn, Mackenzie, Emmerson Thiel, Andrew and Ellaina Krakliow.
A memorial has been established in Sherry's memory.
