She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Black and Beulah Black (Kuhlemeyer); her grandchildren, Hailey and Collin; and her brother-in-law Ken Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Kappes (Cindy) of Freeport, Lee (Christa Reiter) of Gilbert, IL and Michelle Kappes of Freeport; and her sisters, Rosie Smith of Cobden, IL, Janis St (Duane), Marla Dennis (Jack) of Polo, IL and Joyce Thomas (Van) of Chesterton, IN. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
