He is survived by: his wife Karen Burkhalter; his daughters, Amanda Meier (Jaime) and Kelly Staas (Mitchell); his granddaughters, Linley Meier, Piper Staas and Lucy Staas; and his brother Gerald Burkhalter (Earleanne). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
