It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis June Ackerman of Freeport, Illinois, born in Pecatonica, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Klenz and Phoebe Klenz (Dittsworth); her husband Allan Ackerman; and her siblings, Kenneth, Gerald and Marjorie Klapp.
She is survived by: her children, Dwayne Ackerman (Tina) of Murrieta, California and Mary Ackerman of Freeport; her siblings, Vern Klenz of Dixon, Allen Klenz of Freeport, Betty Borgman of Forreston, Velda Baal of Freeport and Darlene Greenfield of Ridott; and her granddaughter Briana Ackerman.
A memorial has been established in Phyllis's memory.
