It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Milton L. Whitney of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Darwin Whitney and Ethel Whitney (Blomberg); and his son Michael Lee. He is survived by: his children, Mark (Patti) of Hillsboro, Joan Stewart of Freeport and Janice Kniss (Chris Torgersen) of Stillman Valley; his grandchildren, Jared Whitney (Beccah), Jordan Whitney, Pete VanHorn (Jenny), Tim Kruse, Karel Leiper and Dan Kniss (Cara); his great grandchildren, Alex Kniss, Colin Kniss, Zachary VanHorn and Bethaney Leiper; his siblings, Mildred Bridgeland of Rockford and Kenneth Whitney (Susan) of Emmitt, Idaho; and his close friend Jeanne Koch.
Memorials will be donated to Milton's favorite charities.
