With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laverne G. Thompson of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on January 31, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Thompson and Bertha Thompson (Kruse); and his brothers, Kenneth Thompson of Freeport and William Thompson (Bill) of Cedarville. He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Hottmann (Zahn); his children, Marylin Diestelmeier (Cal) and Ralf Hottmann (Anita); his grandchildren, Cal Diestelmeier Jr., Aaron Hottmann and Alicia Hottmann; and his sister Lavonne Wagenecht (Kenneth) of Freeport. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
