It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth A. Koester of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Koester and Dolores Koester (Stadel); and his sisters, Deborah Koester and Mary Koester. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Koester (Steve) of Galena, IL and Daniel Koester of Rock City, IL.; his siblings, Brian Koester of Rock Falls, IL, James Koester (Sarah) of O'Fallon, IL and Julie Crothers (Tom) of Lena, IL.; his grandchildren, Renee McNett and Josh McNett; and his great grandchildren, Christopher Byrne and Violet Howell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home (115 S West St, Dakota, IL 61018). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
