He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Evans and Helen Evans (Stanley); his siblings, Stan Evans (Kris), Shirley Kunz, Audrey Jean Wade and Rita Magee (Ron); and his brother-in-law Duane Kupersmith.

He is survived by: his wife Alice of Freeport, IL; his daughters, Angie Lilek (Gary) of Burr Ridge, IL and Kim Evans (Angelia) of St. Louis, MO; his sister Donna Kupersmith; his grandchildren, Paige and Evan Lilek; and his stepgrandchildren, Cassie Barnes (Andrea), Nathan and Madeline Barnes.

A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association and can be directly donated at diabetes.org.
