He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Worthington and Margaret Worthington (Goedel); his sons, Scott Worthington and David Worthington; and his sister Martha Whisonant.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Tritch of Freeport; his daughters, Susan Worthington (Rolene Rabinowitz) of Freeport and Karen Worthington (Don Wilk) of Lombard; and his stepgrandchildren, Jared Weber, Callum Weber, Lydia Weber and Katia Weber.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for Rebuilding Stephenson County Together in Dick's memory.
