John E. McClellan Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. McClellan of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John E. McClellan to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McClellan and Marion McClellan; his sister Joyce May; and his daughter-in-law Jacki McClellan. He is survived by: his wife Rita Joyce Holt; his children, Susan Arnold, Linda Wright, Randy McClellan and Scott McClellan (Jill); and his grandchildren, Emily Miller (Joe), Bailee McClellan (Andre Halle), John McClellan and Courtney McClellan (Mike Flynn).

John chose to help further generations by improving scientific research and education with a gift of body donation to the medical service at The University of Iowa. In lieu of gifts and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
