It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Woodward of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though John has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Woodward and Johanna Woodward (Schmidt); his sister-in-law Phyllis Barroetabena (Joe); and his niece Ellen Johns. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Wahlstrom of Freeport; his children, Lori Streeb (Dale Folgate) of Freeport and Michael (Cathryn Bousselot) of Savanna, IL; his niece Ann Clark of Boise, ID; and his granddaughter Sara Tiltges (Bobby) of Bolingbrook, IL..
