He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Klinger and Ruth Tamling; his siblings, Joan Mulder and Rodney Klinger; and his son Barry Klinger.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Klinger; his children, Shane Klinger (Sally Rice) and Lisa Lubejko (Ed); his daughter-in-law Kia Klinger; and his grandchildren, Blake, Devon, Coty, Ryne (Valerie), Bre (Seth), Nathan (Kylee), Nicole (Scott), Andrew and Elijah. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the family.
