James J. Shippy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2022, at the age of 92, James J. Shippy of Freeport, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland L. Shippy, Sr. and Nellie E. Shippy; his brothers, Leland L. Shippy Jr. and Donald L. Shippy Sr.; and his sisters-in-law, Beatrice (Leland) and Beth (Eugene).
He is survived by: his siblings, Eugene Shippy of Pecatonica, Dennis Shippy (Mary) of Gratiot and Mary Shippy; and his sister-in-law Barbara of Freeport. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Patrick Irish Grove Cemetery, 606 W. Main St. Durand, IL 61024 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (a charity Jack supported).
