He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hunefield and Gladys Hunefield (Volz); and his former wife Edie Haas. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Engling of Freeport; his daughters, Pat Freese (Brian) of Vero Beach, FL and Sandy Hunefield of Freeport, IL; and his stepdaughter Vicky Busker (Dave) of Freeport, IL. He is also survived by several grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Bethany United Church of Christ (2341 W Stephenson St, Freeport, IL 61032). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
