He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Meinert, Jr. and Doris Meinert (Reuber); and his brother Dennis Meinert. He is survived by: his children, Heather Bush (Torrence) of Freeport and Chad Meinert of Freeport; his grandchildren, Jordan Meinert of Freeport, Sarah Reed (Sean Stichter) of Freeport and Kayla Reed of Lincoln, Nebraska; and his close friend Crystal Ryan. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
