He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Kirkpatrick and Mary Kirkpatrick (Hawes); his friends, Hank Fortney, Gary "Butch" Wagner and Fred Bess; his daughters, Kim Kirkpatrick of Freeport, Kelly Gallagher (Chad) of Freeport, Jaime Kirkpatrick of New Richmond, WI and Lisa Kirkpatrick (Jim) of New Richmond, WI; his grandchildren, Keegan Gallagher, Christian Kirkpatrick, Parker Kirkpatrick, Jackson Kirkpatrick and Destinee Reed; and his brothers, Jon Kirkpatrick (Pat) of Acworth, GA and Gregg Kirkpatrick. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his name for the American Stroke Association.
