He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin B. Hawley and Carrie Hawley (Hilliard). He is survived by: his wife Etha; his son Edwin; his grandsons, Andrew Hawley (Leslie) of Stockton and Mark Hawley (Terese) of Stockton; his great grandchildren, Robert Hawley (Amy) of Stockton, Bridget Peach (Elliott) of Madison, Steven Hawley (Kourtney Heun) of Stockton, Brock Hawley (Nichole) of Columbus and Sara Hawley of Normal Il; and his great great grandchildren, Alayna, Elizabeth, Violet, Audra and Dean.

A memorial fund will be set up for a missing persons organization.
