He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Wall Sr. and Hellon Drake McDory. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Stansberry; his children, Charlotte Lewis, Nettie Jenkins of Carrollton, MS, Shar'Ron Thompson of Freeport, Patricia Stansberry (Markee) of Rockford, Darron Thompson of Freeport, Gregory Stansberry (Kiana) of Baraboo, WI and Adrian Pempilton (Denise) of Port Charlotte; his siblings, Eula Thomas (Willie) of Jackson, MS, Mary Wall of Memphis, TN, Earnestine Marks (Hardie) of North Carrollton, MS and Guy Lee Wall of Memphis, TN; his godson Tevin Brooks of Freeport, IL; his aunt Elizabeth Furdge; and his sister-in-law Thelma Haynie. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren.
