It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene M. Shade of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Eugene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orley Shade and Lucille Shade (Hybarger); and his wife Norma Bessert. He is survived by: his children, Christal Ifert (David) of Freeport, Michael Shade (Evelyn) of Florida and Kelly Shade (Kathy) of Texas.
A memorial has been established in his name for FHN Hospice of Freeport.
