With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Kempel (Freeport, Illinois), born in Kent, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Boyer and Orlena Boyer (Thompson); her husband Ronald Kempel; and her brothers, Boyd and Richard Boyer.
She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Kempel (Heather) of Freeport, IL, Bradley Kempel (Diane) of Lena, IL and Douglas Kempel (Connie) of Lena, IL.; her grandchildren, Chris Kempel, Curt Kempel, Chelsea Kempel (Chad Colliver), Jason Kempel (Jennifer), Bethany Haughan (Teag), Jake Kempel, Rachel Bedeker (Roger) and Danielle Thomas (Ryan); her stepgrandchildren, Erik Eiseman and Kelsey Eiseman (Eric Ramirez); her great grandchildren, Owen, Emma, Lucas, Liam, Ava, Mason, Logan, Laine, Cayla, Max and Sabrina; and her sister Deborah Hughes.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leamon Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in her name.
