He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Newberry; his parents, Clementine Newberry (Hintgen) and George M. Newberry; and his siblings, Patricia Collins and George Richard Newberry.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Newberry (Ritsuko) of Madison, WI, Michael Newberry (Margaret) of Roscoe, IL, Joy Hester (Cliff) of Savannah, GA, Judy Kjeldgaard (Charles) of Council Bluffs, IA, David Newberry (Kim) of Colorado Springs, CO and Christopher Newberry (Tammy) of New Glarus, WI. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in his memory at St. Mary's Church.
