With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clifford Lee Collier of Freeport, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 17, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Clifford Lee may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Clifford Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Collier and Willie Mae Collier. He is survived by: his siblings, Calvin (Kym), Troy Collier of Freeport, Terry Collier of Monrovia California, Dorothy Lewis (Michael), Tabatha Ford of Freeport and Ruby Richardson (Gregory) of Torrance California.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burke Tubbs Funeral Home - Freeport (504 N Walnut Ave, Freeport, IL 61032). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

“Clifford was the Eastside! He was a staple of the Eastside. As a kid we would ask Clifford to hit us fly balls for outfield practice. We played right behind Taylor Park School at their baseball diamond. There was a row of bushes that marked a homerun. We never got any better catching fly balls because Clifford was such a great hitter. He kept hitting homeruns over the bushes. It's Clifford's fault we never made it to the big leagues. (Smile) REST UP CLIFFORD. YOU WILL BE MISSED. GOD BLESS.”
