He is survived by: his wife Sharon Diestelmeier; his daughter Susan; his son-in-law Rick Fago; his grandson Tyler Fago; and his brother Clarence Janicke (Geraldine).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (303 S Galena Ave, Freeport, IL 61032). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in Charles' memory.
