He was predeceased by: his parents, Albin Franz and Elizabeth "Bessie" Franz (Leehan); his wife Helen Tietjen; and his brother Lehan Franz. He is survived by: his children, Steve Franz (Karen) of Aurora, IL, Mary Ann Ives (Mike) of Roscoe, IL, Katherine McGinty (Billy) of Suwanee, GA and Joe Franz (Peggy) of Geneva, IL; his siblings, Bob Franz (Marianne) of Deerfield, IL, Mike Franz of Freeport, IL, Barb Curry of Freeport, IL and Liz Casper (Steve) of Rockford, IL; and his grandchildren, Patrick Ives, Will McGinty, Alex Ives, Madeline McGinty, Nicolette Johnson (Ryan), Abigail McGinty, David Franz, Annmarie Franz, Lucy McGinty, Genevieve Franz, Grace Franz, Delia Franz and Molly Franz.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Chuck's memory.
