With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolee M. Van De Mark of Freeport, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Carolee departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Carolee. Though Carolee may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathryn Cramer and Hirsbrunner; her siblings, Dado, Roger Cramer and Shirley Souders; and her brother-in-law Angelo Lasco.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Van De Mark; her children, Jeff Mergen (Laura) and Jerri Mergen; her sisters, Judy Lasco and Nancy Thompson (Preston); and her sister-in-law Carol Cramer. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
