He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Horn and Sylvia Van Horn; and his grandparents, Lavere, Myrna Endress, Kenneth and Ana Van Horn.

He is survived by: his children, Pete (Jennifer) and Savannah; his grandson Zachary; his brothers, Brian Van Horn (Ann) and Doug Van Horn (Karen); his nephew Byron Van Horn (Kennedy); his uncle Dewey Endress (Mary); his aunt Shirley Van Horn; and his girlfriend Kathy Plaskey. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
