With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernita B. Runte of Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on June 11, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Diehl and Edith Diehl (DeWall); her spouse Dale O. Runte; her brothers, Mervin (Harlan Diehl) and Thomas Bower (Lyle Golden); and her granddaughter Gwendolyn Runte.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Runte of Forreston, IL, Julie Golden of Newton, KS and Diane Kuelling (Robert) of Forreston, IL; her sister Violet Fredericks of Freeport, IL; her grandchildren, Tammy Love of Newton, KS, Jonathan Bower (Julie) of Newton, KS, Mike Kuelling (Vicky) of Forreston, IL, Mark Kuelling (Sandy) of Forreston, IL, Monica Kuelling of Freeport, IL and Luke Runte (Luara) of Polo, IL; her great grandchildren, Ashley Love, Cody Love, Kammie Bower, Destiny Bower, Cassie Hargreaves (Jake), Josh Kuelling, Kendal Kuelling, Matt Pasch (Angela), Sydney Kuelling, Morgan Kuelling, Cade Kuelling, Alexis Kuelling, Zachary Saeger, Logan Runte, Celo Runte, Kaden Runte, James Runte and Finnegan Runte; and her great great grandchildren, Sebastian, Carter, Hadley, Brinley, Wyatt, Avay, Lincoln and Kyson. She is also survived by her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren.
