He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Mae and Della Mae; and his siblings, John Lewis Mitchell and Wilma Jean Mitchell Thompson. He is survived by: his cousin Roscoe Mitchell; his friends, Maryanne, Ron Ayers, Shirley, Dale Wachtel, Brenda and Gordon Bingham; his wife Patricia S. Mitchell; his children, David S. Mitchell (Katie) of Freeburg, IL and Angela K. Mitchell Gruchala (Chris) of Marietta, GA; and his grandchildren, Rylan Mitchell (Nichole), Elaina Mitchell, Ashley Gruchala and Jordan Gruchala.
