It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Crowder of Freeburg, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Hunter Crowder; and her grandparents, Doyle, Stella, Mulvaney, Ernest, Marguerite and Ayers.
She is survived by: her husband David Crowder; her children, Elliott Alexander Crowder of Pensacola, FL and Jolena Elizabeth Maria Crowder of Freeburg, IL; her parents, Everett and Ayers of New Minden, IL; her sisters, Bonita Suzanne and Anita Henderlight (Ken) of Knoxville, TN; her sister-in-law Gina Marie Williams of Percy, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Brooke Davis, Ronna Henniger (Mike), Brandon Davis (Leah), Blake Davis (Stevi) and DonRay Williams (Lori). She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family memorial service will be held at 1 p. m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Freeburg, IL, with Rev. Nic Showalter and Rev. Rick Mortimer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylorville High School Band Program, 815 Springfield Road, Taylorville, IL, 62568, Freeburg Community High School Band Program, 401 S.
