With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Meggs of Freeburg, Illinois, who passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, P. R. Nolan and Mae Nolan; her parents-in-law, Clyde and Minnie Meggs; and her brothers-in-law, James Draden Meggs and Ben Gerald.

She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Meggs of Freeburg, IL; her sons, Scott Meggs (Cathy) of St. Louis, MO and Chad Meggs of Freeburg, IL; her siblings-in-law, Johnnie Jenkins (Ray) of Meridian, MS, Jerry Meggs (Debbie) of Kosciusko, MS and Annette Gerald of Brooklyn, MS; and her grandchildren, Mason Meggs (Victoria) of Freeburg, IL, Zachary Dickerson (Savannah) of Tilden, IL, Victoria Meggs of Freeburg, IL, Andrew Smith of Sherman, MS and Zoey Smith of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
