He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Heil and Lela Heil (Burgadine); his brothers, Jimmy Heil and Jack Heil; his siblings-in-law, William Marquis, Jr., Donald Marquis, Lee Allen and Benay Heil (Johnson); his parents-in-law, William Marquis, Sr. and Hazel Marquis; and his son Gary Heil.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth of Freeburg, Illinois; his children, Dale Heil of Belleville, Illinois, John Heil of Belleville, Illinois, Kathy Caswell (Curt) of Red Bud, Illinois, Mark Heil (Marla) of Bloomington, Illinois and Julie Barnett (Daryle) of Dickinson, Texas; his grandchildren, Jacob Caswell (Ali), Nicholas Caswell, Joshua Heil, Natalie Heil and Ryan Heil; his great grandchildren, Clark Parra, Lucy Parra and Cole Caswell; and his sisters, Eva Allen and Marilyn Stegall (Horace). He is also survived by several cousins, nephews and nieces.
