He was predeceased by: his wife Alvera A.; his son Patrick Vollmer; his daughter-in-law Karen Dale; his father Conrad (Elizabeth); and his siblings, Stanley Vollmer, Harold Vollmer (Herbadine) and Dorothy Vogler (Aaron).

He is survived by: his children, Lois Vollmer, Cecilia Kromat (Emil), Michael Vollmer, Lynette Gartke (Matthew), Joseph Vollmer (Jennifer) and Paul Vollmer (Alissa); his grandchildren, Kathy, Morgan (Kyle), Jake, Alexa and Vance; and his great grandchildren, Harper and Garrett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, Freeburg, IL, or Freeburg Care Center.
