He was predeceased by: his wife Norma M. Klingenberg (Hanser); his parents, Theodor Klingenberg and Katherine Klingenberg (Lehman); his siblings, Elva Lehde, Erma Steinkamp, Alma Moeller, Arnold and Howard Klingenberg; his son-in-law Rodney Anderson; and his grandchildren, Cy Anderson, Ludger C. Schilling, III and Paige Kaemmerer.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Brandt (Dennis) of Denver, IA, Dawn Harwerth (James) of Lenzburg, IL, Beth Schilling (Ludger) of New Athens, IL, Hope Kaemmerer (Devin) of Lenzburg, IL and Harold "Hal" Klingenberg (Marcie) of Jeffersonville, KY; and his brother Waldo Klingenberg (Alene) of Nashville, IL. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
