He was predeceased by: his wife Marie G.; his son Robert "Bob" Barnes; his grandson Justin Erickson; his father Clarence (Emma); and his stepfather Harry Hill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Erickson (Lee) of Waterloo, IL and Jacqueline "Jackie" Marshall (Lloyd) of Alton, IL; his grandchildren, Andrea Boomer (Steven), Jamie Barnes, Courtney Venker (Gregory) and Brian Smith; and his siblings, Verna Kuklinski, Delores Hopper, Edward Hill (Vicki) and Betty Benedick (Curt). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
