He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Paul Marvin Mahan; his wife Virginia Clayton; his stepchildren, Randy Mahan (Laura) of Franklin, Robert Mahan (Christine) of Franklin, Paul Marvin Mahan of Franklin and Kendall Mahan (Karen) of Sachse, Texas.; and his brothers, Larry Mahan (Donna) of Palmyra and Scott Mahan (Linda) of Girard.
Roger owned and operated Mahan Clothing Store "family owned business" from 1967 – 1979; Mahan Painting Service from 1979 until he entered the nursing home in August 2011, and resided there until his time of death from the COVID 19 Pandemic.
