He was predeceased by: his grandchild Shaun Kirylczuk; his parents, Emilia Santell and Carmelo Alicea; and his brother Carmelo Mason. He is survived by: his wife Louise V. Alicea; his sons, Damian Alicea (Julie Perez), Joshua Alicea and Xavier Alicea (Hemilse Villagomez); his grandchildren, Desarai Mannelly, Zane Perez, Savannah Alicea, Adeline Alicea and Averie Alicea; his siblings, Virginia Mason and Israel Alicea; his nieces, Sara Santiago and Christina Castro; and his sister Carmen Alicea.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family, who will contribute to the Parkinson's Foundation in his honor.
