Karen Miner Obituary

The passing of Karen Miner of Franklin Park, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 18, 2024 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Karen Miner to show support.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Karen may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

She was predeceased by: her brother John Mahal; her parents, Helen Sikon Mahal Gebhardt and Edward Mahal; and her stepfather Edward Gebhardt. She is survived by: her husband Charles Hardin Miner; her son Jeffrey Edward Miner (Karina Recinos Miner); and her sisters, Suzan Helen Mahal and Elaine Appler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the John Ritter Foundation (johnritterfoundation.org) which works to fund research, provide education, and raise awareness of thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection. In addition, donations may be made to Paws Chicago (pawschicago.org), in honor of her love for animals, especially cats.
