She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Torti and Emma Torti (Blattler); her husband John A. Schafer; and her children, John C. Schafer and Elaine Schafer.
She is survived by: her children, Betsy Stover of Dixon, Sherry Doner (Howard) of Pecatonica, IL and Scott Schafer (Carrie) of Batavia, IL; her grandchildren, Kim Conderman (Chris), Tracey Webb (Kim), Corrine Griffith (Coleman), Kevin Doner, Luke Schafer and Nate Schafer; her brother John Torti (Pat) of Dixon; and her daughter-in-law Louise Schafer. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church, in Franklin Grove or Serenity Hospice and Home, in Oregon, IL.
