He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Maurice and Jennie Grobe (Glover); his former wife Joyce L. Stallings; his granddaughter Madelyn Grobe; his brother Maurice Eugene Grobe; and his stepchildren, Kari Cooper and Keith David Wiegand.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Grobe of Franklin Grove; his children, Charles Grobe, Jr. (Beth), Benjamin Grobe (Heather), William Grobe (Melanie), Patricia Kohn (Richard) and Elizabeth Platt (Daniel); and his stepson Kevin M. Wiegand. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
