He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sobota and Augusta Sobota. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sobota; his children, Jennifer Pilon (Aaron), Anna Lyons (Dan) and Andrew Sobota (Nicole Prosser); his grandchildren, Ava, Jacob, Matthew, Luke, Cole, Andrew, Noah, Rose, Lucas, Emma and Elizabeth; his sister Rosa Kusner (Steve); and his nieces, Gina Cummings and Trisha Buettner.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423). A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Mary's Catholic Church (19515 115th Ave, Mokena, IL 60448). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery (11046 St Marys Rd, Mokena, IL 60448).
