He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kavouris (Helen) and Helen Kasidonis; and his sister Theodora Kavourias. He is survived by: his wife Joan Kavouris (Bovis); his children, John Kavouris and Nicole Kavouris (Michael Galderio); his grandchildren, Nicholas Kavouris, Alayna Kavouris and Mia Kavouris; and his siblings, Anthony Kavouris (Katherine), John Kasidonis (Tina), Gloria Wohl (Ray), Vickie Kasidonis and Steven Kasidonis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
