He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna Brunell; his children, Merle D. Brunell III (Erica), Elizabeth Pengelly (Jason), Melissa Brunell and Joshua Brunell; his grandchildren, Bailey, Maggie Brunell, Savannah, Dylan and Madison Pengelly; his siblings, Phyllis Applebaum, John Brunell and Carol Cagala; and his brother-in-law Saul Applebaum.
