She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Benedetto and Margaret "Peggy" Benedetto. She is survived by: her husband James Scaccia; her daughters, Stacy Rutovic (Nick) and Julie Usalis (Jake); her stepchildren, Jeff Scaccia (Sybil), Nicole Durko (George) and Brian Scaccia (Michelle); her great grandchild Vivienna; and her grandchildren, Sienna, Ander Usalis, Kyle, Mia Scaccia, Drake, Nina Durko, Taylor, Rocco, Lucas, Jemma, Allison, Joselyn Scaccia and Angelo Scaccia. She is also survived by her in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In honor of Laurie's love for her puppies and all pets, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the ASPCA (aspca.org).
