He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Theresa Vanderhei (Petitti); his children, Eric Vanderhei (Emily), Jerry Vanderhei, Jr., Nicole Costa (Nick) and Christopher Vanderhei (Ashlee); his brothers, Ralph Vanderhei, Edward Vanderhei and Larry Vanderhei; and his grandsons, Domenic Costa and Joseph Costa.
