She was predeceased by: her former husband Andrew Malag; her parents, James Lorenz and Sharon Lorenz; her siblings, Wendy Glos (Ron) and Jeff Lorenz; and her grandchildren, Jackson and Logan.

She is survived by: her husband James Cardosi (Jim); her stepchildren, Tori McDonald (Al) and Michael Cardosi (Laura); her sister Jodie Ford (Scott); her nieces, Amanda Jendrzejczyk (Josh), Courtney Glos-Baker (Andy) and Hannah Frain (TJ); and her grandchildren, Charlie, Emily, Hayden, Leia, Luke, Wendy, Lena and Sophie.

In lieu of flowers, Jamie asked that donations be made in her honor to the Joliet Junior College Department of Nursing.
