She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel O'Connell and Evelyn McGeever; and her stepfather John McGeever. She is survived by: her husband Thomas McAvoy; her children, Dawn McAvoy, Michelle McAvoy, Shawn McAvoy (Sheryl), Scott McAvoy and Tracey McAvoy; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Lewellen, Chris Lewellen, Matt Lewellen, Jessica Cole, Katie McAvoy, Caroline McAvoy, Thomas McAvoy, Gillan McAvoy, Hannah McAvoy and Nathan McAvoy; her great grandchildren, Benjamin Cole, Zackary Cole and Finn Lewellen; and her brothers, Dan O'Connell (Jan), Dave O'Connell (Sally), Don O'Connell and Phil McGeever (Linda). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
